چکیده

This paper introduces a new image-based rendering approach for articulated objects with complex pose-dependent appearance, such as clothes. Our approach combines body-pose-dependent appearance and geometry to synthesize images of new poses from a database of examples. A geometric model allows animation and view interpolation, while small details as well as complex shading and reflection properties are modeled by pose-dependent appearance examples in a database. Correspondences between the images are represented as mesh-based warps, both in the spatial and intensity domain. For rendering, these warps are interpolated in pose space, i.e. the space of body poses, using scattered data interpolation methods. Warp estimation as well as geometry reconstruction is performed in an offline procedure, thus shifting computational complexity to an a-priori training phase.

3D-assisted Facial Texture Super-Resolution

In this paper we propose a new framework for super-resolving facial images under arbitrary pose. While example-based super-resolution methods have demonstrated impressive results for face super-resolution under given pose and imaging conditions, they have limitations dealing with different poses and illuminations. Due to these limitations their application to face super-resolution in generalise...

3D Pose Refinement Using Rendering and Texture-Based Matching

This paper presents a method for accurately determining the pose of Lambertian rigid objects present in an image. An initial pose estimate computed with the aid of local point features is ameliorated by considering all visible object texture. This is achieved by combining a textured mesh model of the object with a graphics renderer to synthesize an image of the object as would be captured by th...

Segmentation Assisted Object Distinction for Direct Volume Rendering

Ray Casting is a direct volume rendering technique for visualizing 3D arrays of sampled data. It has vital applications in medical and biological imaging. Nevertheless, it is inherently open to cluttered classification results. It suffers from overlapping transfer function values and lacks a sufficiently powerful voxel parsing mechanism for object distinction. In this work, we are proposing an ...

Image-based Animation of Clothes

We propose a pose-dependent image-based rendering approach for the visualization of clothes with very high rendering quality. Our representation combines body-pose-dependent geometry and appearance. A geometric model accounts for low-resolution shape adaptation, e.g. animation and view interpolation, while small details as well as complex shading/reflection properties are accounted for through ...

InverseFaceNet: Deep Single-Shot Inverse Face Rendering From A Single Image

We introduce InverseFaceNet, a deep convolutional inverse rendering framework for faces that jointly estimates facial pose, shape, expression, reflectance and illumination from a single input image in a single shot. By estimating all these parameters from just a single image, advanced editing possibilities on a single face image, such as appearance editing and relighting, become feasible. Previ...
